Who I am

Freelance Grant Writer | Social Change Advocate

Welcome! I'm Uniqua Flowers, a proud first-generation college graduate, born and raised in Racine, WI. By day, I devote my expertise to the Department of Children & Families. However, my dedication extends far beyond the confines of a traditional workday. During my off-hours, I seamlessly transition into the role of a freelance grant writer, where I leverage my skills to champion causes that align with my values.

In 2016, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Afro-American Literature from the esteemed University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently, I am on the cusp of completing my Master of Science in Administration of Human Services, with a graduate certificate in Finance Management for Human Services. This dual pursuit reflects my commitment to bridging the gap between compassion and strategic resource allocation, ensuring that vital services reach those who need them most.

Grant writing isn't just a job for me; it's a calling that merges my passion for equity and social change with my lifelong love of writing. I find immense joy in crafting compelling narratives that not only captivate but also serve as catalysts for funding vital projects. Whether it's advocating for marginalized communities, championing educational initiatives, or supporting innovative healthcare programs, I thrive on the opportunity to tell stories that make a tangible difference.

Join me on this journey as we collaborate to bring meaningful projects to life through the power of the written word.
